How to Break 90 – A Caddie’s Perspective

Most golfers have the ability – but a few key mistakes keep holding you back. This is how you can break 90 every time.

As a caddie on tour, I’ve walked hundreds of rounds with amateurs in Pro-Ams who are trying to break 90.

Here’s what I see time and time again:

Trying to be a shot-maker – Most golfers go for the “perfect” shot instead of the smart one. You don’t need to hit flags. You need to avoid doubles.

No club strategy – Hitting driver on every par 4/5 leads to trouble. Use the club that keeps you in play – not the one you hope works out.

Ignoring the short game – It’s not the 250-yard drive that saves your score. It’s the 50-yard pitch and the 2-putt. That’s where rounds are won.

What breaks 90:

You don’t need to swing like a tour pro. You need a game plan – and the discipline to stick to it. That’s what we help with.
