If there’s one piece of advice we give every new caddie, it’s this:
Say yes, especially early in your career.
A lot of the best breaks in caddying come disguised as:
- Last minute jobs
- 5am tee times
- Long shifts
- Awkward first introductions
Every top caddie we speak to has a story that starts along the lines of:
“I wasn’t even supposed to be on that bag, but I said yes…” or something similar.
If you want opportunities, don’t wait for them, say yes to the ones already in front of you.
